Last full day in Austin…

For some fun we went to RPM. Indoor Kart racing. 9hp engines, and the cars. were. fast. Much faster than the mini-golf kind of outdoor go-karts. Mucho fun. will do some more next time in town.
So anyway back home tomorrow via Houston, can’t wait.

Wow! It’s my lucky day!

Bassett wins a world record

You don’t see a story like this every day.

Are you ready for some football?

Well the Houston Texans weren’t. I had to get out of the apt and decided to drive over to Houston and catch the Houston vs. KC game and catch a little Priest Holmes action. Of which there was quite a bit.

Nice but quick visit with the Pierson’s

They worshipped at CCM today while they were in town visiting with some friends. They saw the kids and we had a quick visit in the hallway. It was so nice to see them!

Book Review: In the Presence of My Enemies

This was written by Gracia Burnham, the missionary who along with her husband was held hostage in the Phillipines for over a year. I can’t say enough good things about this book! Of course I knew the ending of the story but I was hopelessly hooked. The book is excellent and thought provoking.

Had to fly yesterday…

Didn’t want to, wasn’t expecting it. Wierd how things turn out. Two years ago yesterday morning I was in the Digineer server room configuring up the new Solaris box. Got a call from the other admin and told me two planes just hit the WTC. I said, “two is not an […]

Cash is dead…

I don’t even like country music. at. all. But I was ok with Johnny Cash. I heard the news this morning and they were playing a bit of “Ring of Fire“. It’s been playing in my head all day long. If you’ve ever heard it, its playing in your head now […]
