Heading home

We’re starting for home in the morning–approx 8 a.m. CST. We plan to get to Memphis by evening. We’ll finish the trip on Sunday.

Texas is like living in a clothes dryer

As I did laundry today I had several things I don’t put in the dryer. I needed them dry quickly though so I could finish packing. I hung them on hangers and put them on the balcony. They were dry in 1/2 hr. That’s faster than the dryer. It was 99 today.

Park Day

Today we took the kids to a park to play until it got too […]

Nintendo GameCube for all of you not familiar with the ways of the ten-year olds. Thought we had everything, pop in the latest Zelda and first thing pops up, you do not have a memory card, you will not be able to save. Aargh. So back to Fry’s for […]

Ten Commandments Controversy

John Derbyshire, a brilliant columnist says it all beautifully right here.

Houston

is a very large city. I was suprised to learn that it is the 4th largest city in the US, after NY, LA, and Chicago. 2 Million people live in Houston and another 3 million in the surrounding counties. So when we drove by downtown on our way to the Johnson Space […]
